I’m not arguing with the content/premise: BUT with the selectivity. The Hawk Eye would have just a bit more credibility “IF” they had half the concern for Burlington justice. Surely I’m not the only one to see The Hawk Eye's hypocrisy; but I reckon that would be asking too much for them to be concerned with the local status quo.

I was and “still” am trying to find out the identity of the other two females.
Mr. Skilling also ignored my written request for discovery; as did the Burlington Police Department, and the Des Moines County Attorney; with requests/subpoenas for identity of female witnesses/discovery. Which has to the present time precluded me from getting name’s of attractive brunette 20 something 5’6” m/l 120# m/l female witness. And late fortyish m/l grayish light brown short tight perm hair, 5’8” m/l 125# m/l what I would call lanky; (if it was a guy) with 8 year old m/l boy*—who is/was the real complainant, and the one who got this fiasco going (the woman, not the boy). These two are not mentioned in any of the Burlington Police Reports or Des Moines County Sheriff’s office statements, that I have—makes me think their version; is not beneficial to the mayor (Scott), and “his”. Police Department. (You ask why I say his) You do remember “The Mayor” picking the new police chief—contrary to state mandate—don’t you? Ain’t no Lock & Dam "at" Keithsburg, Ill.
For forty plus years I’ve tried and failed to convince The Hawk Eye (and it’s various permutations) that, there is not a Lock & Dam at Keithsburg.
A little background: Burlington is mile 403.9---Lock & Dam 18 is mile 410.5; location and address rural Gladstone, Ill. ---Oquawka is mile 415.8---Keithsburg is mile 427.5---New Boston is mile 433.0---Lock & Dam 17 is mile 437.1; location and address rural New Boston, Ill.
There is a river gauge in Keithsburg at approximately mile 427.3, that replaced the river gauge that was on the M & St. L (Minneapolis and St.Louis) railroad bridge, that in later years was CNW (Chicago & Northwestern) railroad. Access was lost to the gauge by the railroad right-of-way being washed out in the 1993 flood. The land portion of the gauges is about the size of an outhouse.
"The Rock Island Line is(was) a mighty fine line," but was never connected/involved with the railroad bridge at Keithsburg..

Not Worth Reading
Aside: When I read this in the Legals; I thought I wasn’t as astute as I’ve led myself to believe, that I had missed it in the lead story Feb. 7, 2006 in The Hawk Eye that I dug out, (dug being the operative word.) I’m pleased to report my astuteness is just fine, it wasn’t in there.
Otherwise February wouldn’t have been a “Scott” free month.

Lacking Wisdom
Someone question the wisdom of posting financial info on the World Wide Web for the whole world to see. I can certainly understand that. My reason is/was for rebuttal of the 4-28-00 note from Edward Jones/Matt Skogen’s office; and their concern Re: me having to pay capital gains tax.
